Proust, Marcel. 1919 Pastiches et Melanges. Paris: Editions de la Nouvelle Revue Francaise. Signed and inscribed by Proust to writer Jean Doresenne to the front blank, 'A Monsieur Jean Dorsenne, Homage sympathique de l'auteur, Marcel Proust'. Housed in custom slipcase and protective boards with leather spine, bound in the publisher's wraps. Light shelfwear to the slipcase to be expected; minor edgewear to the spine ends, covers a smidge toned; the signed leaf toned and with a few scattered marks, else very smart. An uncommon inscribed first edition of Proust's collection of literary pastiches, inscribed to the writer, reporter and travel writer Jean Dorsenne. Both men would have moved in the same literary circles during the Belle Epoque; inscribed Proust works are not common and highly desirable. 8vo. (1)
